Zdeněk Trnka, East Bohemian composer, bearer the cultural town of Trutnov prices for the year 2014 was a great teacher (he was teaching until his 80 years), conductor, musician, singer and intellectual. He educated 41-year students. However, at 9 years was the former regime during the "normalization" was forced to leave school and was completely shut down from public life. Under totalitarianism, he never managed to get their music to the public, none of the professional interpreters could not even allowed to perform his songs. He was not a member of OSA. But could not be adopted because they could not play his compositions, allegedly also because it has no formal musical education. And the fact that educated himself that he paid private lessons with renowned composers had had no weight.
The Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice
The Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice is one of the leading Czech orchestras; it is a small symphonic "Mozart-Haydnesque" body. As the only professional orchestra in the Pardubice region it plays a highly important role in the musical life of this region. It organises a series of cycles in Pardubice, performs in other cities in the region and around the country, regularly appears at the most important festivals in the Czech Republic and is also recognised by audiences in many prestigious concert halls in Europe and beyond.
Marek Štilec was born in Prague in 1985 and began his studies at the Prague Conservatoire in the violin class of Dana Vlachová. He studied conducting with Leoš Svárovský, graduating from the Prague Academy of Performing Arts. He works regularly with a number of orchestras, including the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra, Czech National Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of the Swan, Prague Symphony Orchestra, Prague Chamber Orchestra, Prague Philharmonia, Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice, Kammerphilharmonie Graz, the Berlin Camerata and the Ulster Orchestra. He founded the Chamber Orchestra Quattro with which he has given dozens of concerts and has made a number of internationally successful recordings. He works with Czech Television and Czech Radio and his recordings have also been broadcast by the BBC. In March 2010 he undertook a study visit at the San Francisco Symphony and in January 2014 he conducted the New World Symphony under the mentorship of Michael Tilson Thomas. He has attended the Leonid Grin masterclass at the Neeme Järvi Academy for Conductors, and has also taken part in masterclasses with Jorma Panula, Vladimir Kiradijev, Gerd Albrecht and Achim Holub.
ADAM PIOTR ZUKIEWICZ
Born in Poland, Adam Piotr Zukiewicz has performed across Europe, United States, Canada, Japan and Brazil. His performance during the 2007 Millennium Stage Conservatory Project at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC was broadcasted online. He has also appeared many times on TV in Poland. In the summer of 2010 he participated with the Max Joseph Trio in the Peace Concerts Series organized by the Museum of the city of Jawor. Highlights of recent North American appearances include debut concerts with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Toronto Sinfonietta, Toronto Concert Orchestra and Celebrity Symphony Orchestra. Competition successes include several first prizes in national competitions in Poland, First Prize at the 2012 Shean Piano Competition in Edmonton, Canada, First Prize at the 2011 TD Canada Trust Music Competition, and Second Prize at the 13th Pacific Piano Competition in 2011 in Richmond, BC. Most recently Adam Żukiewicz became a medalist of the 2014 Maria Canals International Piano Competition in Barcelona, Spain.
Nice music is a lot, howeverthat good music, is necessary to bring to life that it becomes just a classic, eternal beauty and pride of our nation. We would like to have realized this concert at 27 November 2015. Zdeněk Trnka at the time of totality was persecuted teacher and composer. His music and his life story at the same time were also commemorate the history of the Czech nation.
The anniversary concert will be presentation of works by Czech composer Zdenek Trnka and a celebration of his 90th birthday. Therefore, we are trying to get money for this great jubilee celebration. I greatly appreciate the personality and the creation of Zdenek Trnka, so I'd like to help present to the public his beautiful music that will delight and amaze the audience.
